Townley & Rose Ann Anderson Scholarship
About Townley & Rose Ann Anderson Scholarship
Faith and the quest for knowledge sustained our ancestors during the dark days of slavery. Many developed skills and know-how as the means of survival to sustain, maintain, care, and provide for our families. However, since then, formal education has provided and continues to provide opportunities beyond mere survival to thrive and expand beyond the limitations imposed on our people.
Education has a profound role in the Anderson Family heritage, and providing monetary support to recent graduates has been one of the family's most important traditions. The Townley and Rose Ann Anderson Scholarship was established through the Anderson Family Reunion for the acknowledgement, celebration, and support of our graduates. This scholarship fund is a means to encourage future generations to continue the Anderson legacy of achievement, discipline, and hard work through the avenue of education as we financially support scholastic achievement within the Anderson family.
